Dr. Tyler is a second generation chiropractor and was raised in Sioux Center, IA. Growing up in a chiropractic family, he was blessed to experience all of the wonderful benefits chiropractic care can have for patients. Dr. Armstrong has had a lifelong passion for health and wellness, which made it natural for him to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Dr. Armstrong graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City (CCC-KC) with a focus on family wellness, functional assessment, soft tissue mobilization, and rehabilitation. Prior to attending CCC-KC, Dr. Armstrong completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. While at Morningside, Dr. Tyler was a member of the men’s basketball program that won two regular season GPAC championships during the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons.
Dr. Tyler spent a great deal of time in school attending post-graduate seminars and taking electives in school which included: Motion Palpation Institute seminars, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR), Activator Methods, Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), Graston soft tissue technique, and Sports Injury & Rehab. Dr. Tyler is also a certified RockTape provider and was selected to be one of the practitioners for the 2014 CrossFit Regional’s in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Tyler is certified in Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Along with being nationally board certified in chiropractic and physiotherapy, Dr. Tyler is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Iowa Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Armstrong’s broad range of training has allowed him to treat every member of the family. While at Cleveland Chiropractic College Dr. Tyler enjoyed treating infants, pregnant women, senior citizens, weekend warriors, and competitive athletes. Dr. Tyler is happy to be back in Sioux Center and has cherished practicing with his father, Dr. Larry, and his wife Tiffany. In his free time, Dr. Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and family, going to the dog park, working out, coaching basketball, target shooting, golf, & reading.
I am a Midwest girl, born and raised in Kansas City. I attended Kansas State University, majoring in Biology before receiving my doctorate in chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in April of 2015. Following graduation I married Sioux Center’s own, Dr. Tyler Armstrong who moved me north to join him and his family!
While attending chiropractic school I focused on everything women and babies! I am specializing in pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, which is the largest and oldest pediatric chiropractic association in the world. I am certified in the Webster Technique, which is the most established, widely accepted technique by chiropractors as well as obstetricians to align the pelvis of pregnant women, preparing it for the birthing process. I am also one of only a handful of people in Iowa certified in Dynamic Neuronal Stabilization (DNS), which uses the nervous system to train ideal movement patterns in order to restore dysfunction.
I could not be more excited to share my outlook on chiropractic wellness with you and your family! I believe in God, and believe that He gave us these magnificent, self-regulating, self-healing bodies, to be treasured and maintained… I also believe that He put me in this world to help guide you through that journey!
